ABOUT DAMIEN

A Born Stage Actor

Damien S. Berger has been acting for over 30 years starting in Richmond Virginia. Some of his stage credits include A Raisin in the Sun (Walter Lee), A Soldiers Play, (Davenport), Two Trains Running (Wolf) Jitney, (Booster), The Meeting (Malcolm), Piano Lesson (Boy Willie), Clybourne Park, and Ain’t Misbehavin’ to name a few. On film he has been in Sweet Beautiful Death, Vortex; The Place, Ballistic.

Damien is also a director of 22 years, directing Green Honey Love, American Menu, The Colored Museum, Livin' Fat, Trojan Woman, For Colored Girls, and The Pajama Game. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre Studies from Montclair State University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre from Virginia Union University. Damien was a high school theatre teacher at Magna Vista high school in Henry County VA.

He previously served as Vice President of the board for Progressive Theatre in Maplewood NJ, board member for Tribal Innovations in Somerset NJ, and currently serves as Junior Artistic Director for Dunbar Repertory Theatre. Damien is the founder of True & Honest Theatre in Hammonton NJ.
